A major accident was narrowly averted at Srinagar International Airport in Jammu and Kashmir after an IndiGo flight hit a docking pole while being parked. IndiGo flight 6E 225, which arrived in Srinagar from Navi Mumbai, was involved in the incident shortly after landing. According to airport officials, the incident occurred at around 9:02 am while the aircraft was being parked at Bay Number 06.

The front section of the aircraft collided with a pole belonging to the Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS). The aircraft sustained minor damage to its front portion.

However, all passengers and crew members on board were safe, with no injuries reported. The passengers were later safely deboarded using manual stairs. Officials said the incident did not disrupt normal flight operations at Srinagar Airport, and air traffic continued as usual. A detailed investigation has been ordered, and appropriate action will be taken as per the applicable regulations.
