In a major achievement for India’s digital judiciary, the Kerala High Court has won the Gold Award at the National e-Governance Awards 2026 for its District Court Case Management System, or DCMS. The award was secured in the category of innovation through Artificial Intelligence and new-age technologies for citizen-centric services.
Developed entirely by the Kerala High Court’s in-house IT team, DCMS is a comprehensive digital platform that manages court cases from filing to disposal. The system uses AI-powered case summaries, intelligent chatbots, advanced search tools, voice-to-text technology, and paperless court modules.
The platform is already operational across Kerala’s district courts and in Lakshadweep. Using DCMS, the Kalpetta Judicial District in Wayanad was declared India’s first paperless judicial district in January 2026. The award will be presented at the 29th National Conference on e-Governance in Jaipur on July 1 and 2.
