An 18-foot-deep well in Gujarat's Morbi district has become the center of attention after its water surface began showing continuous waves and ripples for nearly five days, despite no recorded earthquake in the region. The unusual phenomenon has drawn large crowds from nearby villages, with many eager to witness the mysterious sight firsthand.
Officials, however, have ruled out any seismic activity. According to preliminary findings, recent heavy rainfall may have rapidly recharged groundwater, forcing trapped air through cracks and pores in underground rocks, creating the continuous ripples on the water's surface. The Gujarat government has deputed a team of experts from Gandhinagar to investigate the phenomenon and determine its exact geological cause.
