The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to keep electricity tariffs unchanged, extending a consistent policy that has now been maintained for seven consecutive years.

Under this decision, domestic consumers, businesses, and industries will continue to pay the existing power rates without any revision. Officials said the move will prevent additional financial burden on consumers across the state.

The government stated that maintaining stable electricity tariffs is aimed at providing relief to the public while ensuring stability in the power sector. Despite fluctuations in fuel and generation costs, the state has opted not to pass on additional costs to consumers.

Authorities added that the decision reflects the government’s commitment to balancing consumer interests with sectoral stability. Uttar Pradesh continues to maintain one of the most stable electricity pricing structures compared to several other states.

Officials believe the unchanged tariff structure will benefit millions of consumers and support economic stability across both rural and urban areas of the state.
