QS World University Rankings 2027 have been released, and only three Indian institutions made it to the global Top 200.

IIT Delhi emerged as India's highest-ranked university at 118th place worldwide, improving by five positions from last year. IIT Bombay secured the 134th rank, while IIT Madras stood at 170th globally.

Notably, only three Indian institutions found a place in the Top 200. Meanwhile, IIT Kharagpur ranked 205th, while Indian Institute of Science and IIT Kanpur were placed at 221st.

The rankings are based on factors such as research impact, academic reputation, employer reputation, and international outlook.

Globally, Massachusetts Institute of Technology retained the No.1 position for the 15th consecutive year. Imperial College London ranked second, followed by Stanford University in third place. University of Oxford and Harvard University completed the top five.
