Tata Group-owned Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has received an additional penalty claim of over Rs 5.51 crore on outstanding property taxes for its Taj Lands End property in Mumbai from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The additional penalty of Rs 5,51,35,972 has been reflected in the property tax bill for 2026-27, the company said in a regulatory filing.
With the latest claim, the total penalty on the outstanding property taxes, including the earlier claim, has increased to Rs 103,08,31,312, IHCL said.
The company had previously disclosed the matter on February 13, 2026. IHCL said that there have been no violations and that the property tax bills and related penalty claims are being disputed by the company.
