The American Telugu Association (ATA) Philadelphia Area Cultural Competitions received an overwhelming response from participants and the Telugu community. The competitions, including Jhummandi Nadam, Sayyandi Padam, and the Beauty Pageant, were held on June 13, 2026, at Stetson Middle School in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
More than 150 contestants participated across various categories, showcasing exceptional talent, creativity, and enthusiasm. A distinguished panel of over 10 judges evaluated the performances and selected the winners and runners-up. The top performers were honored with ATA trophies and earned qualification for the finals at the 19th ATA Conference & Youth Convention.
The successful event was organized under the leadership of Regional Director Arun Rudra, Jhummandi Nadam Chair Mujebir Rehman, Local Coordinator Sravani Rudra, and Women Coordinator Neelavani Kandukuri. Their dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the competitions and provided a memorable experience for participants and attendees alike.
ATA Past President Parmesh Bheemreddy and Board of Trustee Raju Kakkerla offered valuable guidance and oversight throughout the event. Regional Coordinators Pramod Sangani, Venu Bandi, and Vamshi Yamzala also extended significant on-ground support, contributing to the event's success.
ATA congratulated all winners, runners-up, participants, parents, teachers, judges, and volunteers for making the cultural competitions a grand success. The event highlighted the vibrant talent within the Telugu community and reinforced ATA’s commitment to promoting Telugu language, culture, and heritage among future generations.
