The Greater Rayalaseema Association of Dallas Area (GRADA) successfully conducted its 4th Blood Drive in partnership with Carter BloodCare, paying tribute to the heroes and victims of the September 11 attacks. Nearly 50 donors came forward to support the meaningful community service initiative.
The blood drive reflected GRADA’s continued vision of community service and unity. Organisers said the initiative provided an opportunity to honour the 9/11 heroes through an act of service that can help people in need.
The event received special support from Frisco Mayor Mark Hill, who attended the programme and encouraged the organisers and donors for their community service efforts.
On behalf of GRADA President Sreenivasa Reddy Gali, Secretary Raju Kancham and the Executive Committee, the organisation expressed its heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making the blood drive a success.
GRADA also extended its sincere appreciation to its founders, Dr. Darga Nagireddy and Chenna Reddy Korvi, for their vision, leadership and continued encouragement in providing opportunities to serve the community.
The organisation thanked coordinators Uma Maheswar, Harinath and Jagadeesh for their dedication and efforts in organising the blood drive. GRADA also appreciated the tremendous support provided by its youth volunteers throughout the event.
Special thanks were extended to Sunil, owner of Spicy Venue in Frisco, for generously hosting the blood drive at his restaurant.
GRADA expressed its gratitude to every donor, volunteer and supporter who contributed to the cause. The organisation said the event honoured the heroes of 9/11 through an act of service that can help save lives.
The successful blood drive highlighted GRADA’s message of community unity and service: “Together in Service. Together as a Community. Together for a Cause.”
