The second day of the Mana American Telugu Association (MATA) Convention 2026 began on a grand and spiritual note at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, bringing together Telugu families from across the United States. The two-day convention continues to serve as a vibrant celebration of Telugu culture, traditions, and community unity.

One of the major highlights of the day was the grand Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam, performed in a traditional and devotional manner by Vedic scholars who arrived from Bhadrachalam, the famed temple town associated with Lord Sri Rama. Thousands of Telugu families attended the sacred ceremony and participated with deep devotion.

The spiritual atmosphere at the venue provided a unique opportunity for Telugu-Americans to experience the divine celebrations of Bhadrachalam on American soil. Families gathered in large numbers to witness the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Rama and Goddess Sita, making it one of the most memorable moments of the convention.

Speaking on the occasion, MATA President Ramana Kiran Duddagi said that the convention is giving equal importance to Indian culture, traditions, and spirituality alongside entertainment programs. He emphasized that MATA is committed to preserving and promoting Telugu heritage for future generations living abroad.

As part of these efforts, the convention is not only hosting the traditional Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam but is also organizing the Sri Rama Pattabhishekam Mahotsavam on a grand scale. According to the MATA executive committee, this is being conducted for the first time in such a magnificent manner in the history of Telugu conventions in the United States.

The rare spiritual celebration attracted a massive turnout of devotees eager to witness the historic event. By blending devotion, culture, and community spirit, MATA Convention 2026 is offering Telugu-Americans a memorable and enriching experience while strengthening their connection to their roots and traditions.
