The Shiva Vishnu Temple of San Diego, also known as the Vedic Cultural & Spiritual Center, will host special Shravana Shukravaram and Varalakshmi Vratham celebrations on Friday, August 21. The event will be held at the temple located at 16315 Pomerado Road in Poway, California, with devotees invited to participate in traditional prayers and rituals dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi.
The program will begin at 11:00 AM with Shri Mahalakshmi Abhishekam, followed by Archana, Arati, Teertha and Prasada distribution. At 6:30 PM, devotees can participate in the Varalakshmi Vratham, including individual Kalasa Pooja, followed by Archana, Arati, Teertha and Prasada distribution.
The Varalakshmi Pooja Seva contribution has been set at $51, with proceeds supporting the temple’s 501(c) non-profit organization. Devotees may bring flowers, fruits and Naivedyam for the rituals. Organizers have requested that Naivedyam be prepared without garlic and onions.
