A historic and spiritually significant event unfolded at the Radha Krishna Temple in Allen, Texas, during the Prana Prathishta Mahotsavam (consecration ceremony) of the newly installed Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vigraham.
The multi-day Prana Prathishta Mahotsavam was celebrated with great devotion, featuring Vedic rituals, homams, special pujas, and the ceremonial installation of Lord Venkateswara's idol. Hundreds of devotees from across the United States participated in the sacred festivities, making it a landmark occasion for the Indian-American community.
One of the major highlights of the celebrations was the auction of the sacred Sri Venkateswara Swamy Laddu. The laddu was auctioned for an astounding $777,777 (approximately ₹7.4 crore), with the highest bid placed by devotee Sri Venkata Ramana.
The remarkable bid drew widespread attention and became a symbol of the devotees' unwavering faith and generosity. The historic moment was greeted with chants of "Govinda... Govinda!", creating an unforgettable atmosphere of devotion and celebration.
The event not only marked the successful consecration of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy idol but also became a proud milestone for the Indian diaspora in the United States.
