The Telangana Peoples Association of Dallas-TPAD, has once again demonstrated its commitment to community service by conducting its ‘Adopt-A-Highway’ cleanup initiative in Frisco, Texas.
The program focuses on promoting road safety, cleanliness, and community responsibility along one of the busiest stretches of Preston Road in Frisco.
As part of the initiative, TPAD volunteers cleaned the roadside areas along Preston Road, from SH 121 to Main Street. The adopted stretch covers more than two miles in both directions, making it a significant community service effort.
The ‘Adopt-A-Highway’ program is being carried out under an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation, or TxDOT. Under this partnership, TPAD has taken responsibility for regularly removing debris and litter from the roadside areas.
As part of the agreement, TPAD volunteers conduct the cleanup once every quarter, helping keep the busy roadway cleaner and safer for motorists and pedestrians.
This was TPAD’s third highway cleanup activity of 2026. Volunteers once again came together to collect litter and debris from the roadside, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to giving back to the local community.
With Preston Road being a heavily traveled route in Frisco, keeping the area clean is important not only from an environmental perspective but also from a road-safety standpoint.
Through the Adopt-A-Highway initiative, TPAD is extending its community service efforts beyond cultural and social programs and actively contributing to the wider Frisco community.
The organization’s continued participation in this program reflects the spirit of volunteerism within the Telugu-American community and its commitment to making a positive difference in the places where its members live and work.
With quarterly cleanup drives planned as part of the TxDOT partnership, TPAD continues to play its part in keeping the Preston Road corridor cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for everyone.
