A new study by the National Foundation for American Policy has revealed that immigrants continue to drive Americaโs startup success. According to the report, immigrants from 76 countries founded or co-founded 59% of U.S. unicorn companies, with India leading the list. Indian immigrants have founded or co-founded 96 billion-dollar startups in the United States, the highest among all countries.
The study found that 455 of Americaโs 775 unicorn companies have at least one immigrant founder. Together, these companies are valued at nearly 5 trillion dollars. Researchers say immigrant entrepreneurs play a crucial role in innovation, job creation, and technological leadership. Israel ranks second with 60 unicorn founders, followed by the United Kingdom, China, and Canada.
