Several Indian-American students were honored at the Presidential Artificial Intelligence Challenge National Champion Awards Ceremony hosted by First Lady Melania Trump at the White House. The nationwide competition attracted over 20,000 students from across the United States and Department of Defense schools worldwide.

In the elementary school category, students Aarna Jaiswal, Eshani Khatri, Riva Madda, and Samhitha Pinnamareddy won for developing the “Friendzone Chatbot Bullying Prevention App,” designed to combat bullying through AI. In the middle school division, Viha Iyer, Arya Pratap, and Shrimayi Shetty from NorthStar Middle School won with “SkillUp,” an AI-powered platform that supports personalized learning. In the high school category, Khandakar Mahin secured the national title for a computer vision project aimed at assisting criminal investigations. Praising the students, Melania Trump said AI opens new doors and helps transform dreams into reality.
