Gujarat Titans stormed to the top of the IPL 2026 points table with a crushing 82-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad at Narendra Modi Stadium. The dominant win significantly boosted Gujarat’s net run rate and strengthened their playoff chances.

Chasing 169, Hyderabad suffered an early collapse after Mohammed Siraj dismissed Travis Head for a golden duck in a maiden opening over. Kagiso Rabada then ripped through the top order, removing Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Smaran Ravichandran to leave SRH reeling at 32/4.

The middle order failed to recover as Jason Holder struck crucial blows by dismissing Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Shivang Kumar. Skipper Pat Cummins tried to counterattack with 19 runs, but it was not enough to avoid a humiliating defeat. Sunrisers Hyderabad were eventually bowled out for just 86 runs.

Rabada and Holder claimed three wickets each for Gujarat, while Prasidh Krishna picked up two. Siraj and Rashid Khan chipped in with one wicket apiece as Gujarat completed a comprehensive victory.
