Hitman Rohit’s Retirement… BCCI Gives Clarity!

The BCCI has dismissed reports claiming that Rohit Sharma is not part of India’s plans for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Following the review meeting, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said Rohit is playing exceptionally well and urged everyone not to give importance to such rumours.

Rohit’s World Cup numbers speak for themselves. Across three tournaments, he has played 28 matches and scored 1,575 runs, including an incredible seven centuries—the most by any batter in World Cup history.

Rohit also leads the six-hitting charts with 54 sixes, the highest by any player in World Cup history. As captain, he also led India to a massive 302-run victory over Sri Lanka in the 2023 World Cup.
