Artificial Intelligence is transforming the world at an unprecedented pace. While AI is boosting productivity and innovation across industries, its misuse is raising serious concerns.

A recent incident in South Korea has highlighted the darker side of advanced technology. During a competitive examination, several students were caught using AI-powered smart glasses to cheat. Authorities canceled their exam results and imposed a four-year ban on appearing for future examinations.

According to officials, the AI glasses were equipped with hidden cameras and microphones capable of capturing questions, analyzing information, and delivering answers through built-in audio systems. The devices reportedly looked almost identical to ordinary spectacles, making them extremely difficult to detect.

The incident has sparked a nationwide debate on the misuse of AI in education. Authorities have now begun training exam invigilators to identify such devices and prevent technology-assisted cheating.

Experts say the South Korean case is a reminder that while advanced technology can be highly beneficial, its irresponsible use can create serious challenges, strengthening calls for stricter regulations on AI-powered devices.
