The Andhra Pradesh government has announced good news for liquor consumers. New 150ml and 200ml liquor bottles will soon be available in the state. Currently, liquor is sold in 90ml, 180ml, 375ml, 750ml, and 1000ml bottle sizes. Following requests from liquor manufacturers, the Excise Department has approved the introduction of the new pack sizes.
Under the revised rules, a case will contain 45 bottles of 200ml size and 60 bottles of 150ml size. Officials clarified that the pricing of the new bottles will be based on the existing rates of respective brands, with no major changes in liquor pricing. Meanwhile, Telangana may soon witness a liquor price hike as the government reviews recommendations from a committee and demands from manufacturers.
