Ajith Kumar is set to return to film sets with his next project Dare Devil, which is being directed by Adhik Ravichandran. The production team has officially confirmed that shooting will commence on November 2, 2026, putting an end to recent speculation over the film’s production schedule.
The announcement arrived alongside a stylish new first-look poster. Ajith is seen dressed in an all-white outfit and seated on a red chair, holding a die in his hand. His salt-and-pepper appearance and the dice-themed visual have added to the mystery surrounding his character. The poster also hints at the film’s high-risk and game-related theme.
Dare Devil marks Ajith’s second consecutive collaboration with Adhik Ravichandran after their 2025 film Good Bad Ugly. The upcoming project is also being produced by Ajith’s wife, former actress Shalini Ajithkumar, under Bravehearts Production, marking her first production venture.
Music for the film is being composed by Anirudh Ravichander, bringing him back together with Ajith after Vedalam and Vidaamuyarchi. The technical team includes cinematographer Abhinandan Ramanujam, editor Vijay Velukutty, stunt choreographer Supreme Sundar, costume designer Anu Vardhan and sound designer Suren.
The film’s complete cast and storyline have not yet been officially revealed. Earlier reports had suggested that actress Kayadu Lohar could be part of the project, but her casting has not been fully confirmed by the makers. The team is also yet to announce an official theatrical release date.
Ajith had taken time away from regular film production while focusing on his racing commitments. With Dare Devil now scheduled to begin filming in November, the project marks his return to a new feature-film production after his recent racing activities.
