Yash’s latest release Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has crossed another major milestone at the box office, collecting more than ₹221 crore worldwide within its first three days.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the gangster drama made a spectacular start on its opening day, earning ₹101.10 crore net in India. However, the film witnessed a substantial slowdown over the next two days.

According to trade estimates, Toxic has recorded a worldwide gross of approximately ₹221.35 crore, comprising ₹198.10 crore from India and ₹23.25 crore from overseas markets.

Sharp drop after opening day

The film's Day 1 performance created huge expectations after it crossed the ₹100-crore mark in India.

However, collections dropped to ₹37.65 crore on Day 2, followed by around ₹27.20 crore on Day 3. Its three-day India net collection stands at around ₹165.95 crore.

The declining daily numbers indicate that the film has struggled to maintain the extraordinary momentum generated by its opening.

Toxic vs KGF: Chapter 2

Despite its strong worldwide opening, Toxic remains significantly behind Yash's previous blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2.

KGF: Chapter 2 collected around ₹288.50 crore net in India during its first three days, while Toxic has managed around ₹165.95 crore over the same period.

The gap has therefore widened considerably after the second and third days.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge remains far ahead

The comparison with Dhurandhar: The Revenge is even more striking.

The Ranveer Singh-starrer reportedly collected ₹548.86 crore worldwide in its first three days, more than twice Toxic's ₹221.35-crore worldwide total.

While Toxic has delivered a strong start, its performance over the weekend will be crucial in determining whether it can regain momentum and narrow the gap with other recent blockbusters.
