Actor Triptii Dimri became emotional while speaking at the trailer launch of Maa Behen in Mumbai. She spoke about how society often puts women, especially mothers, into fixed roles without understanding their personal struggles.

Triptii recalled that as a child, she and her family would complain when her mother was unwell and unable to cook or manage household work. “We never saw the human side of it,” she said, adding that now, hearing about her mother’s struggles brings tears to her eyes.

She also shared memories of two single women in her neighbourhood who were unfairly judged by society. “People told us not to go near them. Looking back, I feel we judged them for no reason,” she said.

Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film stars Madhuri Dixit, Triptii, Dharna Durgaa and Ravi Kishan. The dark comedy will premiere on Netflix on June 4.
