The management of the Sri Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada has imposed a complete ban on mobile phones inside the temple premises. The new rule has been introduced to enhance security, maintain the sanctity of the temple, and ensure a smoother darshan experience for devotees.

Under the revised guidelines, devotees are required to deposit their mobile phones at designated counters before entering the darshan queues. Temple authorities have also installed a dedicated security gate and strengthened screening procedures to ensure that no mobile phones are carried beyond the security checkpoint.

Officials said the decision was taken to reduce congestion, prevent unauthorized photography and videography, and improve crowd management inside the temple, especially during peak pilgrimage periods. The new arrangements are expected to help maintain discipline and provide a more peaceful environment for worship.

The temple administration has appealed to devotees to cooperate with the new regulations and follow the guidelines to ensure a hassle-free darshan experience.
