RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has arrived in New York, beginning his three-nation global outreach tour covering the US, Canada and the UK. The visit has been organised at the invitation of overseas organisations as part of the RSS centenary celebrations.
Bhagwat received a warm welcome upon his arrival, including a traditional tilak ceremony. During his visit, he is expected to interact with members of the Indian diaspora and representatives of various local organisations.
As part of the tour, Bhagwat will address the ‘Universal Oneness Celebrations’ at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday. The event is expected to bring together a large and diverse gathering from the Indian-American community.
