Layoff concerns are reportedly resurfacing at Oracle. After eliminating more than 21,000 jobs worldwide in late March 2026, the company is said to be preparing for another round of workforce reductions. Employees affected by the latest cuts could reportedly be informed ahead of the second quarter beginning September 1. However, the exact number of employees who may be laid off remains unclear.

Oracle managers have reportedly been asked to prepare another list of employees who could be affected by the cuts. Some teams could see their workforce reduced by double-digit percentages, according to reports. The March layoffs reduced Oracle’s overall workforce by around 13%. The company currently has approximately 141,000 employees worldwide.

The latest layoffs are reportedly linked to Oracle’s rising spending on AI and cloud infrastructure. The company is estimated to have spent around $55 billion in fiscal 2026, with significant investment going toward expanding its AI infrastructure. At the same time, reports indicate that Oracle raised around $43 billion through debt and equity financing.
