Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Uzbekistan. Modi received a grand welcome from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at Tashkent airport. During his two-day visit, PM Modi will hold high-level delegation talks with President Mirziyoyev to further strengthen the India-Uzbekistan strategic partnership.
Trade… Investments… Defence… Energy… Digital Connectivity! The two leaders are also expected to discuss Education and People-to-People ties. The talks could pave the way for concrete steps to boost bilateral trade and investments in the coming years.
PM Modi will also visit the Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial and Mahatma Gandhi Centre in Tashkent, highlighting the strong cultural and people-to-people connection between the two nations.
Along with Uzbekistan, Modi’s upcoming Kyrgyzstan visit is aimed at strengthening India’s presence in Central Asia, with a focus on business, defence, connectivity, energy security and digital cooperation.
