US President Donald Trump has threatened further military action against Iran and claimed that the United States would eventually take control of Iran’s major oil and gas infrastructure, including the strategically important Kharg Island. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said US forces would strike Iran “very hard” and compared the situation to Venezuela, where he claimed America had taken control of oil resources.

The threat comes amid escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran. The US carried out fresh strikes on Iranian military installations, prompting Iran to launch retaliatory attacks targeting US interests in the region. Iran stated that the ceasefire had become “practically meaningless” following the latest attacks.

Meanwhile, several Gulf nations reported intercepting Iranian missiles and aerial threats. India also lodged a strong protest after three Indian seafarers were killed in an attack on a tanker near the Strait of Hormuz. Diplomatic efforts by Qatar and Pakistan to de-escalate the conflict are continuing despite the worsening situation.
