NASA temporarily ordered five astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) to take shelter inside the docked SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft after concerns grew over a worsening air leak in the Russian Zvezda module.

The precautionary alert lasted nearly two hours before NASA cleared the crew to resume normal activities. Engineers from NASA and Roscosmos continue investigating the leak, which reportedly doubled from about one pound of air loss per day to two pounds per day.

Officials emphasized that the crew was never in immediate danger, and the ISS has never been evacuated during its 27 years of operation
