India’s leading IT services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced plans to acquire MHP, the IT and consulting division of German luxury carmaker Porsche, for an enterprise value of €320 million ($373.25 million).

The acquisition is expected to strengthen TCS’s capabilities in the automotive technology and digital transformation space, particularly in software-defined mobility and next-generation automotive platforms.

Porsche Commits €1.25 Billion

Alongside the acquisition, Porsche has entered into a five-year agreement with TCS and MHP valued at €1.25 billion.

Under the agreement, the companies will work on deploying artificial intelligence across engineering, manufacturing, operations and customer experience. The partnership will also focus on developing next-generation automotive technologies and software-defined mobility platforms.
