The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026 faced delays at several examination centres across India on Saturday due to a technical glitch, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced.
According to the NTA, the issue occurred at the end of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which manages the examination process. The problem has since been resolved, and candidates are being given full compensatory time to ensure that no student is disadvantaged.
As part of the revised schedule, reporting and entry for the afternoon session began at 2:30 p.m., while the examination started at 4:00 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 3:00 p.m. Morning session candidates were also allowed the full duration of the exam and could leave only after completing the test.
The NTA expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to students and parents. It also urged candidates facing any issues to contact its helpline at +91-11-40759000 or email cuet-ug@nta.ac.in for assistance.
