The Monsoon Session of Parliament will begin on July 20 and continue until August 13, following President Droupadi Murmu's approval of the Union government's recommendation.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced the schedule, stating that the government is prepared for meaningful discussions on key national issues during the upcoming session. Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha will meet as part of the scheduled proceedings.
The session is expected to feature the introduction of several important bills, along with debates on major policy matters and issues of public interest. The Opposition is also likely to raise a range of political and governance-related concerns, setting the stage for extensive discussions in both Houses.
Ahead of the session, parliamentary committees have begun holding preparatory meetings to finalize reports and review legislative business expected to be taken up during the sittings.
The Monsoon Session is considered one of Parliament's key annual sittings and is expected to play a significant role in shaping the government's legislative agenda in the coming weeks.
