A special sand sculpture created to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday has become a major attraction at Puri Beach in Odisha. Renowned sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik created the massive artwork to convey birthday greetings to the Prime Minister.

The 25-foot-long sand sculpture was decorated with 2,500 traditional earthen lamps (diyas). Titled “Aashirwad Ka Diya.. 25 Years of Seva.. Happy Birthday Modi Ji,” the artwork features an image of PM Modi against the backdrop of the Indian tricolour, surrounded by the illuminated diyas.

Pattnaik said the artwork was created around the theme of continuous service to the nation. He explained that the 25-foot length represents Prime Minister Modi’s public service, while the 2,500 diyas symbolise the prayers, blessings and good wishes of the people.

The sand artist also said that the artwork was created with the assistance of students from his Sudarsan Sand Art Institute. He offered prayers to Lord Jagannath for Prime Minister Modi’s good health, happiness and long life.

A large number of tourists and locals gathered at Puri Beach to witness the unique sand sculpture.

Another sand artist, Manas Kumar Sahu, also created a separate sand artwork at the same beach to wish Prime Minister Modi on his birthday. His sculpture highlights recent national events and developments.

With celebrations and service activities being held across the country to mark the Prime Minister’s birthday, the sand sculptures at Puri Beach have emerged as a special attraction.
