Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev broke down in tears while speaking about the devastating floods along the Nepal-Tibet border. Around 80 members of an Isha Foundation Kailash pilgrimage group remain unaccounted for after the flash floods hit the Gyirong region.
Currently in Saga, Sadhguru has appealed to authorities to allow him and a small team of volunteers to travel to Gyirong and assist with the search efforts. He stressed that they would not interfere with ongoing rescue operations and only wanted to help find any signs that could provide answers to the affected families.
“We are currently in Saga and humbly request your permission to travel to Gyirong,” Sadhguru said in an emotional appeal, adding that his only intention was to stand with the families and support efforts to locate the missing pilgrims.
The pilgrims were reportedly at an immigration centre in Gyirong when the flash floods struck. Their whereabouts remain unknown, leaving families anxiously waiting for information.
