The 19th American Telugu Association (ATA) Conference & Youth Convention, one of the largest celebrations of Telugu culture in North America, will feature the exciting 'Jhummandi Naadam' Non-Classical Juniors Singing Competition as one of its major attractions.
The Non-Classical Juniors Finals will bring together talented young vocalists selected from different states across the United States. Contestants will showcase their singing abilities through film songs, light music, and melodious performances. The competition aims to encourage young Telugu talent abroad while nurturing their passion for music and providing them with an international platform.
An esteemed panel of judges will evaluate the performances, including Kalaratna Sri Parupalli S. Ranganath, renowned playback singer Smt. Sunitha, Swara Samrat Dr. I. Sarathchandra, National Award-winning lyricist Kasarla Shyam, Smt. Sridevi Ayyagari, folk singer and lyricist Sri Mittapalli Surender, playback singer Smt. Swathi Reddy, and Smt. Sameera Sripada. Their experience and guidance are expected to inspire the young participants and ensure a high standard of competition.
The event will be held on Saturday, August 1, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Room 309 of the Baltimore Convention Center, where families, music lovers, and members of the Telugu community will gather to cheer for the finalists.
The Jhummandi Naadam Committee, led by Chair Sudha Kondapu, along with Co-Chairs Naveen Saragadam and Krishna Podagatlapalli, supported by advisors and committee members, has made extensive arrangements to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the competition.
