One of the biggest celebrations of Telugu culture in North America, the 19th American Telugu Association (ATA) Conference & Youth Convention, will present the 'Jhummandi Naadam' Non-Classical Seniors Singing Competition as one of its premier attractions.

The Non-Classical Seniors Finals will feature gifted vocalists selected from various parts of the United States. Contestants will perform film songs, melodies, and light music, demonstrating their vocal talent, musical versatility, and stage presence. The competition aims to encourage Telugu singing talent abroad while providing participants with an international platform to showcase their abilities.

An esteemed panel of judges will evaluate the performances, including Kalaratna Sri Parupalli S. Ranganath, renowned playback singer Smt. Sunitha, Swara Samrat Dr. I. Sarathchandra, National Award-winning lyricist Kasarla Shyam, Smt. Sridevi Ayyagari, folk singer and lyricist Sri Mittapalli Surender, playback singer Smt. Swathi Reddy, and Smt. Sameera Sripada. Their expertise and experience are expected to inspire the contestants while ensuring a high standard of competition.

The event will be held on Saturday, August 1, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Room 309 of the Baltimore Convention Center. Telugu families, music enthusiasts, and conference attendees are expected to gather in large numbers to cheer for the finalists and enjoy an exciting day of musical performances.

The Jhummandi Naadam Committee, led by Chair Sudha Kondapu, along with Co-Chairs Naveen Saragadam and Krishna Podagatlapalli, supported by advisors and committee members, has made comprehensive arrangements to ensure the successful conduct of the competition.

The 19th ATA Conference celebrates Telugu language, culture, music, literature, youth talent, entertainment, and community service.
