The National Alliance of Indian Organizations (NAIO) hosted a grand ‘Azadi Ka Mahotsav’ celebration at the Long Island Marriott in New York to mark India’s 80th Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of the United States. The event showcased the strong India-US friendship, Indian culture and the contributions of the Indian diaspora.

The celebrations were attended by several prominent personalities, including Consul General of India Binaya Pradhan, Bollywood actress and model Kashishh Rajput, Bollywood actress Samaira Sandhu, renowned celebrity chef Vikas Khanna, and singer, rapper and motivational speaker Sparsh Shah.

The event highlighted the contributions of the Indian diaspora in various fields, including Indian culture, arts, music and community service. The efforts of the Indian-American community in strengthening cultural and social ties between India and the United States were also appreciated.

The role of community organizations in preserving Indian heritage and traditions and passing them on to future generations was also discussed. The contributions of Indian Americans to various sectors of American society were highlighted.
