New York City is all set to celebrate India’s rich culture, heritage and unity with a grand India Day Parade on August 16. The event will take place along Broadway between West 43rd Street and West 44th Street, near Times Square, beginning at 10:00 AM.
The grand celebration, organized under the leadership of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA), is expected to bring together a large number of Indian-American community members and Telugu diaspora from across the region.
Popular Indian film personalities Pooja Hegde and Adivi Sesh will be featured as chief guests, adding a special attraction to the celebrations.
The parade will showcase India’s vibrant traditions, cultural heritage and national pride, with participants carrying the Indian tricolor and taking part in various cultural activities.
TANA President Dr. Naren Kodali, EVP Srinivas Lavu, BOD Ravi Potluri, Treasurer Raja Kasukarthi, International Coordinator Krishna Prasad Sampally, Benefits Coordinator Venkat Singh, and Youth Coordinator Srinivas Cherukuri, along with regional representatives, foundation trustees, executive team members and volunteers, are supporting the event.
The India Day Parade is expected to turn the streets of New York into a vibrant celebration of Indian culture, heritage and unity, bringing the Indian-American community together in the heart of the Big Apple.
