The Indian Overseas Congress – Michigan Chapter is gearing up to celebrate India’s Independence Day with a special event on August 15, 2026, in Novi, Michigan.
The celebrations will be held at Vibe Credit Union Showplace, 46100 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48374, with the program scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
The organizers have invited members of the Indian community to join the celebrations with their families and friends. The event aims to celebrate India’s freedom, unity, culture and heritage, while bringing the community together on the occasion of Independence Day.
The program is being organized under the leadership of IOC Michigan Chapter President/Chairman Sridhar Patel, with the executive committee overseeing the arrangements.
The executive committee includes Advisory Member Vinod Kukunoor, Vice President Srinivas Bandi, General Secretary Venkat Bollavaram, Joint Secretary Yogesh Kollu, Treasurer Venkat Natala and Joint Treasurer Anil Kurapati.
Devanand Ale is handling Publicity & Media, while Dr. Padma Patel is responsible for Hospitality & Decoration.
The Membership Coordinators are Ravi Bommareddy, Shanthan Reddy Kancharla, Yogesh Duraisamy Rajamani, Ramesh Mande, Rajasekher Periketi, Rohit Kondal and Sharath Mandadi. Arha Inamdar is associated with the Women’s Forum, Srilatha Peri is the Marketing Coordinator, and Rakesh Verma is serving as a Committee Member.
With the theme “Let’s Celebrate Freedom, Unity & Heritage,” organizers are encouraging everyone to come together and make the Independence Day celebration memorable.
