The Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) USA is set to take another significant step in strengthening and engaging the Indian-American community with the formation of its new Michigan State Chapter. The announcement was officially made by organizer Sridhar Patel, who stated that the inaugural event will be held in a grand manner on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM at St. Thomas Hall in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Speaking about the initiative, Sridhar Patel said the new chapter aims to bring together members of the Indian diaspora, promote community engagement, encourage civic participation, and strengthen cultural and social ties among Indian-Americans across Michigan.

The launch event is expected to attract prominent leaders and dignitaries from India and the United States. Distinguished guests include Sam Pitroda, Global Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress; Mahesh Kumar Goud, President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC); and Patel Ramesh Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Tourism Corporation.

In a special highlight of the program, Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy is scheduled to address attendees virtually through a Zoom message. Also participating in the event will be Mohinder Singh Gilzian, President of IOC USA, and Pradeep Samala, Working President of the North-East Region, along with several community leaders and supporters.

Organizers expressed confidence that the Michigan Chapter will serve as an important platform for community service, cultural exchange, leadership development, and stronger connections between Indian-Americans and their roots. Members of the Indian community across Michigan have been invited to attend and make the inaugural celebration a memorable success.
