The Mana American Telugu Association (MATA) is set to organize a special Kavi Sammelanam (Poets' Meet) as part of its prestigious MATA 2nd Convention 2026, providing a unique platform for Telugu literary enthusiasts across North America.
The event aims to promote Telugu language, literature, and cultural heritage while bringing together poets, writers, artists, and lovers of Telugu literature. Renowned folklorist and All India Radio singer Dr. Linga Srinivas will be the keynote attraction of the program. Several distinguished poets, literary scholars, and folk artists are also expected to participate and entertain attendees with poetry recitations, literary discussions, and cultural performances.
The program is being coordinated by Sri Sheshagirirao Kambhammettu, who has invited Telugu literary enthusiasts, poets, and artists to take part in the event and make it a memorable celebration of Telugu culture.
The Kavi Sammelanam will be held on June 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Meeting Room 5, Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Organizers believe the event will offer a vibrant literary experience and strengthen the connection of the Telugu diaspora with its rich cultural and literary traditions.
