Dallas is gearing up for a special evening of music, dance, and service. Shankara Nethralaya USA is organizing ‘Music & Dance for Vision-2026’ to support eye-care initiatives and help people suffering from vision-related problems.
The event will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Irving Arts Center in Dallas. Proceeds and donations will support various eye-care initiatives, including cataract surgeries, mobile eye surgical units, and rural tele-ophthalmology camps.
The program is being organized in remembrance of the contributions of Sri S.V. Acharya, Founding President Emeritus of Shankara Nethralaya USA, and Dr. S.S. Badrinath, founder of Shankara Nethralaya and recipient of the Padma Bhushan.
Organizers have appealed to the Telugu and Indian-American communities in Dallas to participate in large numbers and help make the event a success while supporting the organization’s vision-care mission.
