The American Telugu Association (ATA) DMV Chapter successfully hosted its Beauty Pageant, bringing together talented contestants, community leaders, Telugu families, and supporters for an evening of celebration and cultural pride. The event was held at Dromavalla Farms in Leesburg, Virginia, and received an enthusiastic response from the local Telugu community.
Showcasing Telugu culture, creativity, and leadership, the pageant commenced at 7:00 PM and featured more than 40 contestants. Participants were evaluated on confidence, personality, leadership qualities, cultural awareness, and stage presence by a distinguished panel of judges. The event culminated at 11:00 PM with an exciting crowning ceremony that recognized the winners.
The prestigious gathering was attended by ATA President Jayant Challa, ATA Convention Convener Sridhar Banala, Convention Coordinators Ravi Challa, Zeenath Kundur, Kaushik Sama, Director Sudheer Damidila, along with committee chairs, community leaders, sponsors, and numerous supporters.
ATA leadership expressed appreciation to the Beauty Pageant Chair, committee members, judges, volunteers, and local coordinators whose dedication and teamwork ensured the event’s success.
Organizers noted that the grand success of the pageant has generated tremendous momentum for the upcoming 19th ATA Convention 2026, scheduled to be held in Baltimore, Maryland, from July 31 to August 2, 2026.
