The Telugu Association of Greater Chicago (TAGC), in collaboration with India Hub, is organizing an Eco-Friendly Ganesha Making Workshop on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM in Schaumburg, Illinois.

The workshop will be held at National India Hub, 930 National Parkway, Schaumburg, IL 60173, and will focus on creating Ganesha idols using natural clay and sustainable materials. Participants will receive hands-on, step-by-step guidance from experienced artists and will have the opportunity to make and take home their own handmade Ganesha idol.

TAGC members will receive the required supplies free of charge. Non-members and non-registered members are requested to bring 5 lbs of Mexican pottery clay for the workshop.

The program will be conducted by Ravi Tokala of Art Kala Decorations. Organizers said the event is intended to encourage environmentally responsible celebrations while giving families and community members an opportunity to learn the traditional art of Ganesha idol making.

Registration is mandatory, and the deadline to register is September 10, 2026.
