Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s foreign tour schedule has been finalised. The Chief Minister is scheduled to leave on August 17 and is expected to return to the state on September 10. His itinerary includes visits to the United States, London, Germany and China.
According to government sources, Revanth Reddy will be accompanied by a small delegation, including government adviser Ramakrishna Rao. Preparations for the overseas tour are reportedly almost complete.
The visit is expected to focus not only on attracting investments but also on bringing reputed foreign universities to Telangana through the establishment of offline campuses. Discussions are also likely to cover long-term and short-term coaching programmes.
During the Germany and China legs of the tour, the Chief Minister and his team are expected to meet representatives of several leading companies to explore investment opportunities in Telangana. Appointments with representatives of various companies have reportedly been almost finalised.
The Chief Minister is likely to highlight the incentives and concessions being offered by the Telangana government and invite companies to invest in the state. Representatives of companies from these countries are also expected to be invited to the Global Summit 2026, scheduled to be held in Telangana in December.
Revanth Reddy is also expected to study sports and education policies in the countries he visits. A key focus will be on bringing international educational institutions to Telangana.
According to sources, the Chief Minister is likely to meet senior representatives of leading universities such as Oxford, Harvard and MIT to discuss setting up offline campuses and offering long-term and short-term coaching programmes in the state. The government is also exploring the possibility of signing MoUs with some universities, with preliminary discussions already underway.
Although the current schedule runs until September 10, sources indicate that the Chief Minister and his delegation could return to Telangana earlier than scheduled after completing the planned engagements.
