Organize cultural, educational, and social events that celebrate Telangana heritage. Raise awareness about Telangana's history and development. Foster friendship and understanding among people of Telangana origin and the wider community. Support charitable, educational, healthcare, and community development initiatives through fundraising and volunteer efforts.

The Minnesota Area Telangana Association (MATA) is a nonprofit organization established by Telangana-origin professionals and families living in Minnesota. It was founded with the goal of preserving Telangana's unique cultural identity while bringing together the Telangana community in the United States. Since its inception, MATA has grown into a vibrant organization that organizes cultural celebrations, educational programs, charitable initiatives, and community service activities. The association has been actively involved in charity work since 2013, supporting causes in both Minnesota and Telangana.

MATA has made a meaningful impact through its community-focused programs by: Organizing annual cultural festivals such as Bathukamma, Bonalu, Sankranti, and other Telangana celebrations. Conducting charity fundraisers to support education, healthcare, disaster relief, and underprivileged communities in Telangana. Providing scholarships and financial assistance to deserving students. Encouraging volunteerism and youth leadership through internship and volunteer programs.
