Mr Adhikari later said, “We have always given priority to Census work unlike the previous government.” Asked about the fate of a large number of voters pending at the special intensive revision-related appellate tribunals, he pointed out, “The figure was around 27 lakhs among whom nearly seven lakhs filed their appeals while the remaining 20 lakhs never made any plea.”
